Integrated AI from 930 grams

Lenovo closes the formation of its ThinkPad catalog for 2026. The company has announced the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 and ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 and ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 modelscompleting the renewal of its commercial line with latest generation processors, advanced connectivity and an explicit commitment to local artificial intelligence. The first equipment will be available starting in May 2026.

The expansion of AI to an enterprise scale is the common thread throughout the range. According to Tom Butler, Vice President Commercial Portfolio & Product Management (Vice President of Commercial Product Management at Lenovo), “Enterprises want to adopt AI PCs at scale, not just in isolated use cases”and that is precisely the objective of these models: to bring integrated AI processing capacity to user profiles ranging from the field worker to the data analyst, without price being a barrier to entry.

The X13 Gen 7, the lightest ThinkPad of the entire range

He ThinkPad X13 Gen 7 It is the update of the 13.3-inch laptop that was already the most compact model within the ThinkPad family. With a starting weight of 930 gramsremains one of the lightest business laptops on the market in its segment, and the redesign of this generation has focused on internal renewal rather than aesthetic changes.

The equipment can be configured with processors Intel Core Ultra Series 3 (also known as Panther Lake) or with AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 Seriesboth platforms compatible with the capabilities CoPilot+ Windows 11. In the AMD variant, the integrated NPU can reach up to 50 TOPS AI performanceallowing you to run smart assistance, transcription, or noise reduction tasks directly on the device without relying on the cloud. RAM reaches up to 64 GB LPDDR5x and storage goes up to 1TB via M.2 PCIe Gen5 SSD.

In connectivity, the X13 Gen 7 incorporates WiFi 7, two ports Thunderbolt 4/USB4, HDMI 2.1 and a USB-A port, with optional 5G for those who work outside the office on a regular basis. The design retains one-handed opening, something that X range users especially appreciate in mobility environments. The battery offers two configurations: 41Wh either 54.7Wh.

L14 and L16: the backbone of business fleets

If the X13 is aimed at the mobile user who needs the lowest possible weight, the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 and the ThinkPad L16 Gen 3 are designed for another profile: that of the IT team that has to deploy thousands of units homogeneously and keep them operational for years. These are the high-volume models, where total cost of ownership matters as much as performance.

Both devices are available with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 either AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 Seriesand they admit until 64GB DDR5 memory in two expandable SO-DIMM slots and until 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. The L14 offers a 14 inch screen with the usual balance between portability and screen size, while the L16 expands the 16 inch panel maintaining the same base platform, which facilitates the joint management of both models in the same fleet.

Repairability, sustainability and security for corporate environments

All three models in this batch share a common approach to product lifespan. Lenovo has strengthened its collaboration with iFixit to improve repairabilityand both the X13 Gen 7 and L models achieve a score of up to 9 out of 10 on the iFixit repairability scale. This translates into simplified access to internal components and the ability for IT teams themselves to perform repairs without having to send the equipment for service.

The L Series models add a couple of specific environmental commitments: The batteries in these devices are user replaceable and are made from 100% recycled cobalt.and all packaging in the range has completely removed plastic. These are details that do not modify performance, but that increasingly weigh more on the purchasing decisions of organizations with corporate sustainability criteria.

In terms of security, All three laptops include a 5 MP camera with RGB and IR options for facial recognitionand the set of remote management tools common in the ThinkPad range for centralized administration in distributed enterprise environments.

With the ThinkPad $1,439 for L models.
