Intel will not launch Nova Lake-S processors with integrated 12-core Xe3 GPU
Intel plans to launch its desktop processors this year Nova Lake. A new generation that succeeds the Intel Arrow Lake Refresh (Intel Core Ultra 200S Series) which in turn were already a renewed version of the Arrow Lake or Intel Core Ultra 200 Series. Users have hope in these new Intel Nova Lake, although it seems that this next generation will dispense with the reference with more powerful 12-core Xe GPU.
Intel Nova Lake-S could do without the 12-core Xe3 iGPU
This has been confirmed Jaykihn on his X/Twitter accountwhere he tells us that Intel has finally left this series with an integrated 12-core GPU for the Intel Razor Lake-S. Rumors have been multiple in recent weeks, including power information with specific designs for the motherboard and increased PL2 limits for the iGPU. But finally it seems that this configuration will be carried over to the Razor Lake-S for desktopssince the Nova Lake-S will not include a version with these 12 Xe3 cores.
But it seems that this will not affect the versions for laptopswhich will be able to have an APU with a 12-core GPU in the next generation of Nova Lake processors for laptops. Recently there has been talk about the possibility of expanding the memory of Nova Lake with 12 Xe cores with DDR5 CSO-DIMM modules at 8,000 MT/s.
Nova Lake will arrive as Intel Core Ultra 400 Series
In any case, it is not yet officially known what references will be available for this next generation. Intel plans announce the Nova Lake before the end of 2026but not much else is known about this upcoming Intel Nova Lake series also called Intel Core Ultra 400 Series.
