A mod brings NVIDIA frame generation to the RTX 20 Series
This has never been officially supported by NVIDIA, since the frame generation has remained in the RTX 40 Series and the multi-frame one in the RTX 50. Through mods it has been possible to bring it to the 30 Series and now also to the older models RTX 20 Series based on Turing. To make it work, this mod has been based on the previous one that brought the generation of frames to the NVIDIA RTX 30 Series. The developer has adapted it to cover one more generation, without having to use AMD FSR 3but uses the execution environment nvngx_dlssg310.1 from NVIDIA. Kernels have also been replaced to use compiled versions for SM75 and adjusting so that the test environment is also valid in the Turing GPUs.
Frame generation mod for Turing still has problems
The implementation seems somewhat simple, but users have reported some difficulties with modes greater than 2x. A user with an RTX 2060 has experienced ghosting with 3x mode and with 4x it has worse performance. Other users have also reported compatibility issues, although it seems that this mod is still in its early stages and may need a little more time to work correctly (or at least as well as possible) on more models of this mod.
