PinSafe eliminates sharp back pins on MSI motherboards
MSI has developed a new technology focused on improving the security and mounting experience on its high-end motherboards. This advancement eliminates one of the most common problems when assembling a PC, such as sharp pins on the back, offering much more comfortable and safer handling. Furthermore, this solution is already beginning to reach recent models such as the MSI MPG X870E CARBON MAX WIFI.
This innovation is called PinSafe Designand consists of a complete redesign of the rear area of the motherboard. With this, the company seeks not only to facilitate assembly for less experienced users, but also to improve key aspects such as durability and signal integrity.
Improvements in manufacturing and signal quality
The PinSafe design also implies changes in manufacturing, where MSI opts for the use of Reflow Soldering along with more precise welding control. This allows for more uniform joints, reducing imperfections and improving conductivity. Additionally, the pads are completely covered by the solder mask, minimizing oxidation and improving signal stability.

Another key advantage is that the PinSafe process uses a single high-temperature soldering cycle, instead of the two common in traditional methods. This reduces thermal stress on the plate, preventing warping or delamination. The result is greater long-term reliability, especially in demanding or intensive use configurations.
Greater durability and high quality components
MSI has also opted to integrate high quality components and thermal resistancecapable of withstanding demanding conditions without degrading. These materials maintain their structural integrity even after long periods of use, something essential in gaming equipment or workstations, contributing to greater overall stability of the system in the long term.

Thanks to the precision of the process and the design of the encapsulated pads, PinSafe offers a better signal integrity. The negative effects of humidity or oxidation are reduced, achieving a more stable transmission. In addition, these boards have passed EMC tests, guaranteeing interference performance comparable or superior to that of conventional designs.
Structural reinforcements at key points
In the physical section, MSI has reinforced key elements such as connectors, USB ports and headers, which have been subjected to mechanical resistance tests. Also notable is the incorporation of Steel Armor II on PCIe slotsalong with additional solder points to easily support large and heavy graphics cards.

PinSafe technology is already present in the MSI MPG X870E CARBON MAX WIFIbeing the first model to incorporate this design. With this commitment, MSI redefines the standard in motherboards, offering a combination of security, durability and performance. A solution designed for both new users and the most experienced.
