ASRock has presented at Computex 2026 the MARS 340a 0.7 liter mini PC with AMD Ryzen AI 5 340, 50 TOPS NPU and Radeon 840M graphics that at the stand did not run Windows, but Bazzite, the favorite Linux distribution of Steam Deck players. The equipment maintains the ultra-thin 26 millimeter profile that has defined the MARS range since its inception, but takes a generational leap in what is hidden inside thanks to AMD’s Krackan Point chip and its integrated artificial intelligence architecture.

The choice to display Bazzite instead of Windows 11 at a Computex booth is no small detail. It is a declaration of intent about the user profile that this team is targeting.which goes beyond office or corporate use to enter the territory of gaming and advanced productivity in a format that takes up practically nothing on the desk.

The processor that equips the MARS 340 is the AMD Ryzen AI 5 340, from the Krackan Point family. It includes the XDNA 2 architecture for artificial intelligence inference with an NPU capable of reaching 50 TOPS, making it compatible with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC requirements. Integrated graphics are AMD Radeon 840M, based on RDNA 3.5 architecturea clearly higher level than the integrated graphics solutions found in previous generations of mini PCs of this size.

Memory works in DDR5 SO-DIMM format at 5600 MHz with two available slots and support up to 128 GB maximum capacitya generous figure even by conventional desktop standards. For storage there is an M.2 2280/2260 slot with PCIe Gen4x4 interface, prepared for any high-performance NVMe SSD on the market. A second M.2 2230 type E slot is reserved for the WiFi and Bluetooth module. The exhibitor configuration at Computex included 2×64 GB of DDR5 5600 memory and a 1 TB SSD, although the device will come to market in different configurations.

Cut-free connectivity in 26 millimeters of thickness

In such a compact format, connectivity is usually the first sacrifice. On the MARS 340 it is not.. On the front there are two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports and one USB4 Type-C. On the back there is a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, a USB-C with 2 V charging support, a DisplayPort output, a combined audio jack and an RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet port.

Video outputs cover HDMI 2.1 with support up to 8K at 60 Hz and D-Sub for more conventional monitorswhich gives scope to use it with practically any available screen. Power is resolved with an external 65 W to 19 V adapter, a common standard in this segment. The dimensions are 194x150x26 mm for a total volume of 0.7 liters, maintaining the ultra-thin profile that has defined the MARS line since its inception.

Bazzite at the stand: Linux gaming as a sales argument

Geeknetic The ASRock MARS 340 is the mini PC with Ryzen AI 5 340 and 50 TOPS NPU that fits in less than a liter and works with Linux gaming 2

The most striking detail of the ASRock exhibitor at Computex 2026 was not the hardware itself, but what appeared on the screen connected to the MARS 340: Bazzite in the middle of the installation process. Bazzite is a Fedora-based Linux distribution specially optimized for gaming, very popular among Steam Deck and mini desktop PC users looking for a gaming environment without depending on Windows.

That ASRock chooses to show this at such a visible event is no coincidence. Compatibility with Linux gaming is increasingly relevant for a user profile that continues to grow, and exhibiting the Bazzite installation process at an official stand during Computex sends a clear message: the MARS 340 is not only designed for the corporate or productivity user, but also for those who want a compact computer with which to play under Linux without complications.

The Ryzen AI 5 340 with its Radeon 840M graphics and 50 TOPS NPU is a chip that can do much more than office automation. That is precisely the argument that ASRock wants to convey with this presentation: a mini PC that in less than a liter offers real performance for light gaming, content creation and tasks accelerated by artificial intelligence, all in a format that practically disappears on the desktop.

ASRock has not yet confirmed a price or availability date for the MARS 340 presented at Computex 2026.
