The Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus will offer 10% more performance than the 285K
We were able to learn about the existence of Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus last January after some leaks that appeared in the Geekbench database.
Now, new results from the popular benchmark have come to light where you can see greater performance of what, barring surprise, will be the most powerful processor of the Arrow Lake Refresh. In total, we have: 3,535 points in single core and 25,106 points in multicore.
Arrow Lake Refresh follows the “rehashing” strategy that Intel has traditionally followed with past releases like Raptor Lake. These are processors that maintain the same architecture and that, in general, add a little more MHz but maintain the same number of cores.
These processors will be the last of the current LGA1851 platform, as Intel’s plans point to another platform change with the LGA1 1954 socket when Nova Lake arrives.
The Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus will offer 10% more performance than the 285K
Therefore, this Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus It would be nothing more than a Core Ultra 285K with a little more frequency which allows it to offer 10% more performance in single core and multi core with these results. Let us remember that in the last leak the improvement was around 7-8%.
Unless there is a surprise, this Core Ultra 9 290K Plus is expected to have the same base frequency as the 285K, increasing the Boost speed from 5.7 to 5.8 GHz for P-Coresand from 4.6 to 4.7 GHz for E-Cores.
