The new Surface Pro 12 and Surface Laptop 8 arrive with the “for Business” label and the Intel Core Ultra Series 3
Microsoft has announced the renewal of its catalog Surface for Business with new equipment aimed at the professional environment and workloads with artificial intelligence locally. The new range includes the 13-inch Surface Laptop for Business, the 13.8-inch and 15-inch Surface Laptop for Business, and the new 13-inch Surface Pro for Business, all featuring Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and immediately available in select markets.
The company places these developments within its strategy Business AI PCwith Intel AI Boost NPU up to 50 TOPS, Windows 11 Pro, integrated management with Intune and Windows Autopilot, and a security foundation supported by Secured-core PC, TPM 2.0 and the Microsoft Pluton security processor. In addition, Microsoft has confirmed that it will later expand the family with models based on Snapdragon X2.

The new Surface Laptop for Business expands the range with three sizes and an optional privacy screen
Within the renewal, Microsoft separates its laptop offering into two levels. On the one hand, we have the 13-inch Surface Laptop for Businesswhich is the most portable model in the family, with a 13-inch PixelSense touch screen, up to 24 GB of RAM, removable SSD and a battery with up to 22 hours of local video playback. This model integrates Wi-Fi 7, two USB-C ports, one USB-A and a fingerprint reader on the power button.
On the other hand, the company maintains a superior range with 13.8 and 15-inch Surface Laptop for Businessboth with up to 120Hz PixelSense Flow displays, up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB removable SSD storage. The 13.8-inch model can be configured with an anti-glare screen with integrated privacy filter (yes, the same as the Samsung Galaxy S26). Likewise, the 15-inch model adds a MicroSDXC Express reader and, in certain versions and markets, an integrated smart card reader.

In this series, Microsoft also introduces a precision haptic touch panel, two USB-C ports with USB4 and Thunderbolt 4, Surface Connect, USB-A, Full HD cameras and autonomy of up to 23 hours on the 13.8-inch model. Both they maintain 3:2 formatWindows 11 Pro and AI features accelerated by the integrated NPU.
The new Surface Pro for Business maintains the 2-in-1 format with 5G option and OLED screen
The second big announcement is the 13-inch Surface Pro for Businesswhich retains the family’s detachable format and is updated with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. Microsoft offers it with an LCD or OLED screen, both with a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels, 3:2 format and a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In the case of the OLED panel, the peak HDR brightness reaches 900 nits.

The device can be configured with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x memory and removable SSD up to 1 TB. It also adds a 1440p Quad HD front camera, a 10 MP rear camera, compatibility with Surface Slim Pen, two USB-C ports with USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 and versions with 5G connectivity, as well as support for NanoSIM and eSIM in those models.

Microsoft places this new Pro as its proposal professional tablet with laptop performanceweighing from 895 grams without keyboard, battery of up to 17 hours of local video and rear support with hinge up to 165 degrees. Like the rest of the new range, it comes with Windows 11 Pro, Microsoft Pluton, TPM 2.0, firmware updates via Windows Update and a design designed to facilitate the replacement of components such as battery, SSD, motherboard, cameras or thermal module.
