Xiaomi will continue to integrate Snapdragon socs into its devices after a several year agreement with Qualcomm
Last Thursday the alarms jumped: Xiaomi presented his first soc, The Xring-O1, And the rumors about the replacement of Snapdragon processors for these new socs, in order to achieve an alleged independence from the Chinese manufacturer for its multiple terminal lines, began to appear.
This processor is based on the Cortex de Arm nuclei, combining three types of them in 10 nuclei: 2 x Arm Cortex-X925, 6 x Cortex-A725 and 2 x Cortex-A520. Together with them, an Immortalis-G925 GPU of 16 ARM cores completed a SOC that was manufactured in TSMC to 3 nanometers.
Not leftover, it seems that this soc will be limited to specific terminals such as the Xiaomi 15s Pro and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, since the own Qualcomm has announced a several years agreement with Xiaomi to provide them with processors of the Snapdragon 8 line for their next high -end terminals.
Both companies have been collaborating for 15 years, and Qualcomm’s socs have integrated both in smartphones and tables of the company (they were one of the first to integrate the Snapdragon 8 Elite into their Xiaomi 15), As in electric vehicles (the SU7), Smart Home or Wearables of different types.
