Lenovo combines Panther Lake, 90 Wh battery and OCuLink in the Lecoo Pro 16
Lenovo has presented in China the Lecoo Pro 16 Core Editiona 16-inch laptop that combines the Intel Core Ultra X9 378H with a 90 Wh battery and an OCuLink connector for external graphics. The announced configuration includes 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1 TB SSD.
The combination allows you to use the integrated graphics while on the go and connect an external GPU when returning to the desk. OCuLink is one of the distinctive elements of the equipmentwhich also offers USB4 and a 120 Hz IPS screen. Its marketing has been announced for the Chinese market, without a confirmed international version.
Panther Lake with Arc B390 graphics and dual-fan cooling
The processor belongs to the Intel Panther Lake family and integrates a Intel Arc B390 GPU. Lenovo accompanies this platform with a cooling system with two fans and two heat pipes, with which it announces an operating mode of up to 80 W.
That figure describes the announced power margin for the equipment. It is not equivalent to a measurement of sustained performance nor does it provide insight into temperatures or noise under load on its own. The commercial documentation also contemplates more contained operation, with a 30 W mode to reduce cooling requirements.
The chosen memory is LPDDR5X-8533 and the capacity of the PCIe SSD is fixed at 1 TB. The Chinese store file identifies the configuration with Windows 11 Home in its edition for that market and Office 2024. A range of variants with different memory or storage capacities has not been announced in the sources consulted.
The integrated graphics cover the operation of the laptop without external accessories. To know its specific behavior in games, it will be necessary to test this configuration: the name of the GPU and the power limit do not replace results measured on the Lecoo Pro 16 itself.
OCuLink shares space with USB4, Ethernet and HDMI
Graphics expansion connector joins a wide selection of ports. The team has a 40 Gbps USB-C, another 10 Gbps USB-C with additional video and power functions, two 5 Gbps USB-A and one USB-A 2.0.
The computer also features HDMI 2.1 FRL, an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet connector and a 3.5 mm audio jack. This distribution allows you to connect a screen, peripherals and a wired network without depending on a USB-C adapter for everything.
OCuLink requires a compatible external solution to house and power the graphics card. The laptop has been shown accompanied by a base with a desktop GPU, but that does not mean that the graphics card or the expansion station are part of the announced configuration.
The presence of this port also does not allow us to assume that any card will offer the same performance as in a desktop computer. The result will depend on the GPU, connection and workload. Lenovo does not provide a performance comparison with a specific external graphics card in the material consulted.

16:10 screen and a 90 Wh battery in a 1.75 kilo chassis
The screen uses a IPS panel with 2,560 × 1,600 pixel resolution. Its 16:10 format leaves more height than a 16:9 panel of the same width, while the 120 Hz frequency applies to both desktop navigation and content that can take advantage of it.
Lenovo announces a 500 nits brightness and 100% sRGB space coverage. The panel has anti-reflective treatment. These specifications describe the display configuration presented, with no independent measurements of uniformity, contrast or color accuracy provided.
The set weighs 1.75 kilos. The hinge allows an opening close to 180 degrees and the keyboard includes full-height arrow keys, with an advertised travel of 1.5 mm. They are design details that accompany a large diagonal without turning the equipment into a fixed station.
The battery has a capacity of 90 Wh. The brand advertises more than 25 hours in office tasks, a commercial estimate that will depend on the testing conditions and that should not be transferred to games or intensive loads. The battery capacity and consumption of maximum performance mode correspond to different usage scenarios.
The price of 9,999 yuan (about 1,346 euros) corresponds to the version with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Local promotions and aid may reduce the amount in China, but do not represent a price applicable to Spanish buyers.
