Honor launches the Honor 600 Smart in France, a more basic version with a huge 7,700 mAh battery and 6.87-inch LCD screen

Honor has quietly launched the Honor 600 Smarta new member of the Honor 600 family that, for now, only appears in the brand’s French store. The terminal arrives with a clearly different approach than the standard Honor 600. Instead of competing for camera, screen or thickness, opt for a battery well above average, a reinforced construction and a more affordable price. 299 euros.

The proposal changes quite a bit compared to the conventional Honor 600. The new Smart model mounts a 6.87 inch LCD screennoticeably larger than the 6.57-inch AMOLED panel of the Honor 600. However, this increase in size is accompanied by a significant reduction in resolution, since it remains at 720 x 1592 pixels. That is to say, Honor adds a diagonal and battery, but clearly cuts back on density and image quality compared to the higher model.

There are also clear differences in the processor. The Honor 600 Smart uses Snapdragon 4 Gen 4while the Honor 600 integrates the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Therefore, the new model is located in a much more modest band in general performance. Added to this is a base configuration with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, without expansion via microSD, compared to 8 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of the Honor 600.

More autonomy and resistance, but with visible cuts in camera and hardware

Where the Honor 600 Smart does clearly stand out is in the battery. The terminal incorporates a unit of 7,700 mAheven above the 7,000 mAh of the international Honor 600 and 600 Pro. The brand ensures up to 28 hours of video and up to 93 hours of use in certain scenarios, in addition to 45W fast charging. It does not reach the level of the 80W of the Honor 600, but the extra capacity completely changes the approach of the device.

Honor also places a lot of emphasis on endurance. The 600 Smart boasts drops of up to 2.5 meters, water resistance and SGS Premium Performance certification. The brand even mentions immersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes within its promotional materials, although it clarifies that it is not a professional submersible device. In this sense, the mobile is positioned as a low-end mid-range device, something that differentiates it quite a bit from the Honor 600, which is more focused on the screen, camera and finishes.

In photography, the Honor 600 Smart also cuts back. For now, one is known 50 MP main camera with 1080p video recording, quite far from the set formed by the 200 MP main sensor and 12 MP ultra-wide angle of the Honor 600. What we know nothing about is the front camera data in this French version. Finally, the new model also includes stereo speakers with 400% volume mode, a button dedicated to artificial intelligence functions and a thicker construction, 8.3mmcompared to 7.8 mm for the Honor 600.
