Mortal Shell II releases DLSS 4.5 on August 20, with dynamic generation on RTX 50

New games and apps arrive every week with support for NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex, and advanced ray tracing effects designed for GeForce RTX gamers. This week the turn is for Mortal Shell II and The Sinking City 2which debut support for DLSS, while Luminary is now available with the technology activated since its launch in early access.

Mortal Shell II arrives August 20 with DLSS and ray tracing

Mortal Shell IIfrom Cold Symmetry and Playstack, expands on the original Souls-like with no-holds-barred, adrenaline-fueled combat, plus deeper weapon design with extensive upgrade options. The game is now available in early access for those who have purchased the Devout Edition, while its official launch, also confirmed in the trailer published by Playstack, is scheduled for August 20.

When gaming, Mortal Shell II accelerates performance with DLSS 4.5 and its multi-frame rendering, improves image quality with ray-traced reflections and global illumination, and on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs allows you to enable dynamic multi-frame rendering directly from the NVIDIA app.

The Sinking City 2 releases DLSS this week

The Sinking City 2from Frogwares, is now available with DLSS support. The game transfers the paranormal investigation of the original saga to the city of Arkham during the 1920s, set in a Lovecraftian version of America at the time.

The player steps into the shoes of Calvin Raffertyan occult investigator whose reckless actions trigger devastating consequences: after a dream invocation ritual goes wrong, his partner Faye is trapped in a mysterious dream from which Rafferty must rescue her.

Luminary, available in early access with DLSS 4.5

Luminarydeveloped by two-person studio Refractive Entertainment, is a light fantasy ARPG intended for both solo and co-op play for up to three players, featuring shared progression, exploration, and accessible combat within an easy-to-navigate world.

The game is based on the idea of living fantasy adventures in company– Players can explore a manicured world, defeat monsters, discover hidden treasures, experiment with different weapons and builds, and continue advancing in both solo and cooperative sessions with other players.

Luminary is now available in early access with Super Resolution DLSS 4.5, Multi-Frame Generation, DLAA and Unreal Engine 5 Lumen lighting, allowing you to take advantage of both the performance and image quality offered by this generation of GeForce RTX cards from the first day of availability.

This combination of a launch with DLSS from day one (Luminary), an imminent premiere with the technology already confirmed (Mortal Shell II) and a last-minute announcement about a game arriving this week (The Sinking City 2) is common in the weekly updates that NVIDIA publishes about its RTX ecosystem.

For those who have a GeForce RTX GPU, any of the three titles are a direct option to check the current state of DLSS 4.5 and its different frame generation variants, especially in the case of the 50 Series cards, where dynamic frame generation is activated directly from the NVIDIA application itself without having to touch the settings of each game separately.
