Ubisoft joins the Xbox Disc to Digital program to convert physical games into digital licenses
Microsoft offers users a digital license for compatible physical games on Xbox One and Xbox Series. An option that aims to preserve compatibility with future consoles from the company, without having to use a disc reader. But this is an option that Microsoft offers that different editors can take advantage of, and it seems that more and more editors like Ubisoft that now allows you to obtain a digital license from its physical games.

As we can see on X/Twitter, some users have already confirmed that Ubisoft has joined the programin which you can exchange your games on discs for a copy in digital format with conditions. As we read in Windows Central, Square Enix seems that it will not take long to also join this programgiven its support in other Xbox initiatives in the past. Other publishers seem to be reviewing the conditions to decide whether or not to join this Microsoft initiative.

The video game giant has made a great effort so that users can preserve your physical game library for current and future generations of Xboxincluding portable Windows consoles as long as the title has Xbox Play Anywhere.
