Open Benchtable (OBT) and ElmorLabs have shown at Computex a preview of the BENCHLAB 2a board designed for laboratories and overclocking enthusiasts that allows you to monitor voltage, temperature or current, among other values, and integrate it with advanced control or programming tools.

In this new version, it is integrated in the form of a PCB behind a support for the motherboard, so that it is not necessary to have any module outside the computer in a conventional benchtable. For this, They have worked closely with Corsair to develop this new iteration of the device, whose market launch is scheduled for the end of this year 2026.

6-layer PCB and compatibility with CORSAIR FRAME cases

BENCHLAB 2 includes standard support for boxes CORSAIR FRAMEallowing it to be mounted directly on cases such as the Corsair Frame 4000D. In addition, this compatibility will also be brought to the software thanks to its integration with Corsair iCUE in the form of a specific widget. In this way, all parameters can be monitored from the platform itself.

To avoid measurement errors or electrical interference when the hardware is fully loaded, a design of 6 layers.

Given the problematic history of connection burn-in on modern graphics cards, BENCHLAB 2 incorporates pin monitoring for its two 12VHPWR connectors. The system can independently read the electrical values of each pin and, if it detects any anomaly, activates a small speaker built into the board to emit an audible warning to alert us.

It includes physical power and reset buttons, a 5VSB power cut switch, and space to mount up to two SSD drives directly on the module. In addition, the front panel connectors have been duplicated, allowing the tower buttons and BENCHLAB 2 to be connected simultaneously without the software losing control of the system.

At the connectivity level, the platform maintains compatibility with HWiNFO for data dumping and cross-platform support on Windows, Mac OS and Linux using Python code.

Software improvements implemented in this version will also be released free of charge to first-generation users.
