The new GIGABYTE AERO X16 has a Ryzen AI 9 365, RTX 5070 and Copilot+ PC format
Among all the laptops exhibited by GIGABYTE at Computex 2026he AERO X16 is probably the one that best summarizes the direction that the brand wants to take outside of what would be the scope gaming. It is not presented as an extreme device in the style of the AORUS MASTER 16, but as a more balanced proposal that mixes creation, productivity, gaming and local artificial intelligence functions. It also appears on the stand accompanied by the label Copilot+ PCsomething that clearly differentiates it within the range.
The base of the team combines a AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 with XDNA 2 NPUs of up to 50 TOPS and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB of graphics memory. GIGABYTE adds to that support for DLSS 4.5, up to 85W of maximum TGP for the GPU and an aggregate figure of up to 798 AI TOPS in advanced AI performance. It is not the most ambitious laptop in the catalog, but it is one of the most interesting due to the balance between specifications, weight and design.

A thin and light laptop that tries to combine Copilot+, gaming and creation
The AERO X16 is best understood when viewed as a widely used laptop. GIGABYTE builds it in a chassis of 16.75mm and 1.9kgtwo very contained figures for a 16-inch computer with RTX 5070 Laptop. It does not seek to compete with heavy mobile stations, but rather to offer a relatively light format for those who want a single device valid for productivity, creative work, gaming and local AI tools.
That approach is also seen on the screen. The panel is 16 inches with resolution 2.5Kfrequency of 165Hz and format 16:10a combination that is already quite logical in this segment. GIGABYTE adds a 92% screen-to-body ratio, slim bezels on four sides, 100% sRGB coverage, and Pantone validation. It doesn’t reach the OLED territory of the MASTER 16, but it does offer a solid base for anyone who values a balanced panel both in gaming and in daily work.
In the stand’s own signage, elements such as the Golden Curve Keyboarddynamic RGB lighting with 16.8 million colors and two finishes, Space Gray and Lunar White. These are details more about product than performance, but they help to profile the AERO X16 as a more transversal and less visually aggressive machine than the AORUS family.
GiMATE, Windows Copilot and a higher autonomy than usual in this category

The other half of the AERO X16’s speech is at the software layer. GIGABYTE presents it as a device with Windows Copilot and GiMATEyour own system control assistant. The material shown at the fair talks about integration with functions such as Recall, Click to Do, Live Captions with translation, Windows Studio Effects, improved Windows search and agents within configurations. In other words, this is the laptop where GIGABYTE makes its interest in approaching the concept of PC with AI more visible beyond the usual marketing.
Add to that a system WINDFORCE INFINITY with four heatpipes, dual 12V fans, 3D VortX architecture and cooling zone located in the WASD area. The total thermal power indicated is up to 100 W, a reasonable figure for the type of equipment it is and consistent with that attempt to balance performance and thickness.
There are also two especially important pieces of information in this format: the battery promises more than 14 hours and fast charging talks about recovering 50% in 30 minutes in AC mode. Along with Wi-Fi 6E, FHD IR camera compatible with Windows Hello and support for MUX Switch, the AERO
