Valve has finally launched its new virtual reality set, the much rumored and protagonist in recent weeks Steam Frame. Valve’s new VR glasses can be obtained from the 1,049 euros in its 256 GB versionrising to the 1,279 euros if you want the 1 TB ones. But these new Steam Frames are not available to purchase and ship, instead you will have to sign up for a list that will hopefully allow you to purchase one of these.

Steam Frame: this is how the reservation list works

If you want to get one of these Steam Framewhether they are 256 GB or the 1 TB version, you will have to sign up for a Reservation list available until the 17th of this month. Once the deadline has ended, Valve will reorder the list randomly and you will receive an email if you have been among the positions corresponding to the available stock of the Steam Frame kit you have chosen (reservation list). Otherwise you will go to the waiting list.

If you are on the reservation list Valve will notify you the next day, September 18and when your turn comes you will have the opportunity to buy the chosen kit along with more accessories that you can add in the purchasing process. When units are available and respecting the order of the reservation list, Valve will notify you so that you can purchase the chosen Steam Frame kit, you will have 3 days to get it or it will be passed to the next user.

But in this case you will not be able to change the kitif you have chosen the 256 GB one you will not be able to buy the 1 TB one and vice versa. If you are not among the positions that will have available stock, you will go to the waiting list, where you will have to wait for new available units to get these glasses.

Steam Frame will also have optional accessories

Once there is stock for your turn on the waiting list, Valve will send you an email to purchase the Steam Frame, the version chosen in capacityand you can add the accessories you need to buy them with the VR glasses kit.

Valve has put on sale along with the Steam Frame a series of accessories that perfectly complement these VR glasses. The first is the charger, which is not included, and which costs 39 euros. An ergonomic accessory kit will also be available for 69 euros Composed of 2 hand straps, 2 battery covers, 1 top strap for the visor and a larger light blocker. Additionally, there is a replacement accessory kit that includes a face pad, head pad, and standard light blocker, a kit that costs 59 euros.
