In that guide I told you about some of the alternatives you have to continue using your PC normally and, above all, with security guarantees. I even made it clear that, despite not having support, your computer was going to continue. However, in Geeknetic we have thought that we had to complement that guide with a solution that is resonating through the internet corners: Install Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC or Windows 10 IoT Enterprise. But what exactly does it imply?

Well, you should know that both versions have Extended support. It is an edition designed for very specific scenarios. For example, in the case of the second, it is used in IoT devices, such as cashiers, advertising panels and similar devices. Now, in essence it is a Windows 10 like any other. In fact, in some things even it is better.

Advantages and disadvantages of installing Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC

From now on, I’m going to talk at all times about Windows 10 Enterprise LTSCsince it is an easier version to download currently and it is the one I have used to make this guide. Anyway, both the Enterprise and IoT Enterprise edition are equally valid. Both are interested in the case that you do not want to update to Windows 11 or because you do not see you using chrome os flex or some linux distribution.

Advantages of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC

In fact, with respect to the home or pro edition, this variant presents some Notable advantages. It’s these:

Extended support. I have already mentioned it, but this is the main benefit. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC will receive support until 2027. For its part, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC will have 2032. Security updates and nothing more. With this edition of Windows 10 you will not receive any software novelty. Forget about the changes in the interface, of the treacherous implementation of co -pilot and things like that. In fact, keep in mind that, as of October 2025, Microsoft will no longer develop new features in Windows 10 and will focus only on Windows 11.
Installation without Internet and without Microsoft account. Another tip, no doubt. You do not need the Internet (in fact, I didn’t even work for the WiFi adapter) or log in with a Microsoft account. Ok, I know that in Windows 11 the latter can be ignored, but the truth is that it is increasingly complicated.
A performance that did not remember in a long time. I have left Windows 11 behind and, as I said, my PC became slower. The performance that I have obtained with this edition of Windows 10 is amazing. So much, I’m going to leave it installed to use it on a day -to -day basis.

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC disadvantages

Well, And what’s wrong with? There are things that you should know about this Enterprise edition and that could be considered disadvantages:

You will have to install the controllers. I had not seen me in the tube of downloading the drivers of my laptop from another team with the Internet. Windows 11 has long been activated the main components at the time of installation. In this case, I did not have Wifi or Bluetooth connection.
System components are missing. For example, you do not have the Microsoft Store. Anyway, in most cases, these inconveniences can be solved with specific procedures.
Some applications may not work. It is not something that I have found, but it is a possibility due to the absence of many components. In general terms, this Windows 10 works the same as any other, so programs compatibility should not vary.

How to install this edition of Windows 10 on your PC?

On this website you will find a table where all available evaluation editions are classified by language. Scroll until the end to find the Spanish. Then, download the corresponding version to your team, according to the processor architecture. The most important thing is that you download what is in the right side, where LTSC says.

When you have the ISO on your PC, go to the official Rufus website and download its portable edition. Then, open this tool, which will help you create a USB of start from the ISO you have downloaded.

Where it says DeviceChoose a connected pendrive of at least 8 GB. In Starting choiceChoose the ISO you have downloaded. You can leave the rest as it is. When you have finished following these two steps, press Begin.

Just a detail. If when Windows asks you to connect no network, it means that your equipment controller is not included in the installation package. So you will have to download it from another team and, for the moment, click on I don’t have the Internet.

In my case, for some reason, The system has not allowed me to introduce any key. In fact, I have bought it because my intention is to maintain this system for a time to see if I win some performance in the team.
